Our Experience

Since 1923, Camp Fircom has helped kids, youth, and adults experience the joy of summer camp. Enjoy traditional summer camp activities such as archery, canoeing, kayaking, campfires, campwide field games, arts and crafts, skit nights, overnight out-trips, campfires and s'mores! These are the classic camp activities many of us grew up cherishing.

Fircom is also a catalyst in the camp world and includes modern camp activities like connecting with local indigenous cultural ambassadors, getting your hands dirty with farm-to-table activities, and taking part in science experiments to learn about renewable energy systems and sustainability.

Our renovated facilities include:

  • Spacious dining hall with large bay windows facing the ocean

  • 15-kW photovoltaic electrical power system

  • Indoor and outdoor programming space, along with a large field, three beaches, and many miles of trails

  • Low environmental-impact recreational activities such as stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, archery, challenge courses, snorkeling, farming and hiking.

  • Fircom is a spiritually inclusive summer camp. We create an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere for people identifying as religious, agnostic, atheist, or anything in between. Spiritual programming at our summer camp might be yoga, meditation, connecting deeply with nature, or sitting around the campfire.

Fircom is accredited by both the United Church of Canada and the BC Camps Association, ensuring that we meet the best practices in the industry for safety, leadership, programming and administration.
