Program Coordinator:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Program & Waterfront Director with the planning, preparing and leading of all of Camp Fircom’s recreation activities that set Camp Fircom apart as a Summer Camp destination. As well, this position works in collaboration with the Program & Waterfront Director to coordinate the behind the scenes logistics that lead to a successful overall camper, volunteer and staff experience. This includes: training staff to lead games, songs and recreation and team-building activities; organizing arrival and departure days for Summer Camp sessions; creating activity schedules for all Summer Camp sessions; conducting daily inspections and maintenance of programming space: and, ensuring the maintenance of all recreational equipment and replacement of damaged recreational equipment. This is a full-time, 40+ hour position during the summer months (June 16 to August 15). As such, the successful candidate is required to live on site during these time periods. Camper Support Coordinator:
The Camper Support Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Summer Camp team in meeting the social, emotional and behavioural needs of all child and youth campers so that the children and youth that attend our programs have a successful summer camp experience. This is a full-time position for 5 weeks during the summer camp season. As such, the successful candidate is required to live on site each week they are working. FULL JOB DESCRIPTION AND HOW TO APPLY
Head Lifeguard:
The Head Lifeguard supervises two Lifeguards and is responsible for the safe operation of the waterfront for all age groups. From supervising free swim, to taking campers out on kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and voyageur canoes, every day is a day on the beach in this position! An enthusiasm for training staff, and a desire to teach kids how to safely paddle and play in the ocean, is a must. This position works in collaboration with the Program & Waterfront Director and Coordinator to coordinate the behind the scenes logistics that lead to a successful waterfront experience for campers and guests. Lifeguard:
Working in collaboration with the Head Lifeguard and a fellow Lifeguard, the Lifeguard is responsible for the safe operation of the waterfront for all age groups. From supervising free swim, to taking campers out on kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and big canoes, every day is a day on the beach in this position! This is a full-time position during the summer months (July 13 to August 15). As such, the successful candidate is required to live on site during this time period. Camp Counsellor:

Camp Counsellors make magic happen all summer for campers (ages 6-16) by romping through the forest and providing mentorship for their group. Each week, Sunday to Friday, Camp Counsellors live at camp and spend almost 24 hours a day with their campers. They help plan and lead hands-on, spiritually- enriching, and ridiculous activities for children so they can embrace their authentic selves while overcoming challenges and exploring their interests. Camp Counsellors are mature, creative, and nurturing individuals that are capable of providing each child with a safe, supportive, and memorable camp experience. Lots of energy and a love of nature are a must! Camp Fircom welcomes campers from all faiths and backgrounds. We focus on creating communities of belonging by connecting with nature and having joyous fun every day.
Important Dates:
● Start date - Sunday, July 13, 2025
● End date - Friday, August 15, 2025
● Please note that the dates between the on-site training (July 1) and the start date (July 13) are not working days
Training:
Successful candidates will actively participate in 100% of all the comprehensive staff training sessions, prior to the beginning of the Summer Camp season: On-site training: Thursday, June 26 (evening) - Tuesday, July 1 (afternoon).
Summer Camp Coordinator:
The Summer Camp Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Summer Camp Director with the planning, preparing and leading all of Camp Fircom’s Summer Camp sessions. As well, this position works in collaboration with the Summer Camp Director to coordinate the behind the scenes logistics that lead to a successful overall camper, volunteer and staff experience. This includes: supervising and providing support and feedback to staff; training staff to lead cabin groups and provide appropriate and responsive supervision and care of campers; organizing arrival and departure days for Summer Camp sessions;, ensuring that all staff receive adequate breaks; facilitating daily and weekly staff meetings; and, collaborating with the Program & Waterfront Director and Coordinator to plan camp activities and programs.

Head Teen Counsellor:
The Head Teen Counsellor is responsible for assisting the Summer Camp Director with the planning, preparing and leading all of Camp Fircom’s Teen Camp sessions. As well, this position works in collaboration with the Summer Camp Director to coordinate the behind the scenes logistics that lead to a successful overall camper, volunteer and staff experience. This includes: supervising and providing support and feedback to Teen Camp staff and volunteers; training staff to lead cabin groups and provide appropriate and responsive supervision and care of Teen campers; organizing arrival and departure days for Summer Camp sessions, with a specific focus on the Teen Camp sessions; creating Teen Camp session and staff schedules, ensuring that all staff receive adequate breaks; facilitating daily and weekly staff meetings; and, collaborating with the Program & Waterfront Director and Coordinator to plan Teen Camp activities and programs.
