From the Deep…

This introspective retreat is a journey of self-discovery to find the masks we wear, the reasons why we carry them, and the lessons they have come to teach us, so that we can transform them. The roots of these patterns are in the unknown, stored in the body, so how do we find them?

Read on to discover if this retreat is for you…

Benefits you can receive:

  • A boost in self-appreciation

  • reduction in anxiety and stress

  • a drop in worry and eradicate guilt

  • overcoming past trauma

  • honest connection with others

  • fewer emotional triggers of rage, tears, complaint or upset

  • expansion of your silent, peaceful centre

  • clarity on how to manage a life altering challenge.

Typical patterns that are worked with:

  • Self-judgement

  • guilt/shame

  • not believing you’ve done enough or are not good enough

  • excessive worry

  • a drive for perfection and attempt at being “super-human” while compromising yourself

  • erratic and illogical emotional responses

  • a desire to please others for external validation

  • an underestimation of your worth and self-recognition

  • inability to say a healthy “no”

A transformational tool like no other…

To discover these masks and patterns, Neerava will prepare all participants to experience the Self-Healing Dalian Method. This powerful tool is a straight forward, no nonsense approach to the self-discovery process. It works with all aspects of the human experience; physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, our energy system, the unconscious and our consciousness. It utilizes deep breathing through different parts of the body in a very precise sequence and out-loud expression of thoughts and emotions as they surface in each given moment. What makes the Dalian Method stand out among other modalities is that it bypasses the mind, as it is the mind that has created all our suffering and pain. Transformation happens spontaneously as a result of allowing ourselves to express repressed thoughts and pent up emotions without judgement, thus bringing layers of the unconscious to light, seeing our lessons and the root causes of our behavioural patterns or issues. The new awareness and change arises in the body and it can’t be lost.

 Our Facilitator:

Neerava S. Kroeger
Camp Fircom Community Engagement Director

Neerava loves to spend her time expressing creatively from her silent centre. Although she has pondered big questions about life and spirit since she was a child, she began a deeper journey in 1998 when moving to BC. At that time, numerous synchronicities unfolded to rapidly change the course of her life. In late 2001, Neerava began leading yoga and meditation sessions in her home studio, schools and businesses. She also began leading women’s healing circles.

Neerava has explored and trained in multiple healing modalities, but found her true calling in 2013 when discovering the transformative Dalian Method. This discovery profoundly impacted her life. Fully embracing this method, guided by Mada Dalian’s wisdom, she officially became a certified facilitator in 2015. Neerava has facilitated many workshops, private sessions and retreats in her former Tsawwassen studio, as well as other places in Canada and Europe, and now very happy to share at Camp Fircom retreats.

In 2004 Neerava attended Fircom summer camp as a volunteer and brought her two daughters (now grown) to experience the magic of Fircom. From 2003-2009 she worked at InspireHealth leading classes, support groups, healing sessions and as the Palliative Outreach practitioner. In 2009, Neerava felt her girls needed her working closer to home, and from 2009-2014, she was music director for Tsawwassen United Church while also running her own private yoga studio (and coaching a LOT of volleyball!). In 2016 and 2017 Neerava was happy to return to Fircom offering music, yoga & meditation for the United Church YAYA May retreats. Since June, 2022 Neerava’s life took an unexpected turn when she was hired on to Fircom’s full time staff team, and enjoys sharing her gifts, communication skills and creativity in many ways.

Retreat Theme:

Dropping these faces, no easy task,
the body holds on to every mask.
Shedding old stories I once embraced,
searching to find my original face.

Reflections are fading, who will I be,
if I let go of these identities?
Facing the mirror and willing to see,
past all these false realities.

Breathing and watching the silent spaces,
embracing the dark and fearful places.
Keep letting go of all I see,
resting in sweet mystery.

“Sweet Mystery” music and lyrics by Neerava S. Kroeger, 2019
