Mom, Kids & Teens Camp
Mom, Kids & Teens Camp are all about balance. In this week-long experience at Camp Fircom, moms (and aunts, cousins & grandmas!) are given an opportunity to connect with their children (and teens) in a magical, natural setting, and take time for themselves to slow down and smell the cedar trees.
In the mornings, moms will have an opportunity to engage in 'Moms Only' activities (i.e., yoga, guided meditation, garden sessions, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, painting, spiritual exploration, nature journaling, archery, etc.) while their children (and teens) participate in developmentally appropriate activities with our caring, highly trained Camp Counsellors. In the afternoons, Camp Counsellors will offer a number of family-friendly programming options and there will also be ample free time for moms, kids and teens to explore the beauty of Fircom and go swimming at Canoe Cove.
Each evening, the programming offered includes a range of activities from cooperative games to crafts, talent show, campfire sing-a-longs, and reflective practices. Once the kids are in bed, teens will have their own special programming and child-minding will be offered by Camp Counsellors so that moms can participate in evening programming such as art in the dark, walking the labyrinth, candlelight yoga, dessert on the dock, and more!
Teens will participate in all the regular mom and kids activities, but they will also enjoy their own night games, late evening snacks and off-site activities. Teen program time will of course include more age-appropriate activities.
Due to the immense popularity of this program, and the fact that we are only able to offer two camps during the 2025 summer season, we we are working on offering additional family programs during the off season.
“A big thank you for our week at camp - another slew of core memories have been imprinted on our hearts. You have created the most special community and we feel very privileged to have the opportunity to be a part of it!”

WHAT TO EXPECT
getting to/from camp
Horseshoe Bay Public Dock
Camp Fircom staff will sign you in at the park near the Horseshoe Bay Public Dock.
Boat Departures
Water taxis will depart Horseshoe Bay in waves, beginning at 3pm on Sunday afternoon, and will return Friday morning between 10:30 and 11:30 am.
Exact times will be sent in an email 3-4 weeks prior to camp. Please watch for this email as it sometimes ends up in spam folders.
Parking
We highly recommend taking public transit or being dropped off in Horseshoe Bay to avoid the hassle of finding parking. If you need to park, the following lots are available:
Lions Tiddlycove Parking ($10/day, cash only): This parking lot is a 20 min walk from the Horseshoe Bay Public Dock up under the highway. NOTE: The lot size has been significantly reduced since May 1st, due to falling debris from the overpass above. We expect this will be the case for many months, and thus will fill up very quickly.
BC Ferries Parking ($20-$25/day): These short-term and long-term parking lots are centrally located in Horseshoe Bay village but can quickly fill up on weekends.
Accommodation
When you register for Mom, Kids & Teens Camp, you have the option to select Cabins or Bell Tents at no additional charge.
Our dormitory style accommodation called Craigcroft costs an additional fee of $100 per room, and private rooms in the Cottage are $200 per room.

Camp Fircom has been such a magical place of exploration, acceptance, growth, and community - for both me and my kids. Everytime we go it is a unique experience, full of fun and adventure and also grounded in a sense of connectedness - to each other and to the natural world - that leaves us so fulfilled and restored. We can't wait to go back!

Fircom Mom and Kids camp is a wonderful experience - a week away from regular life, spending time in nature with a fabulous community of moms, kids, teens, aunts, and grandmas, and a fantastic staff, bonding, enjoying fun activities together (and free time too!) and being well-fed without having to cook or plan meals!

We just finished our second year at the Mom & Kids Camp and are still buzzing from it. This is a tradition for my daughter and I that we won’t give up easily. I love watching my daughter go off and experience freedom and new challenges, all while I’m doing the same with a group of amazing women. This year I hardly took any photos because I was just simply too “in the moment” to care. Now that’s what I call memory building!
