Camp Suzuki at CHÁ7ELKWNECH

  • Camp Fircom 508 Fircom Bay Road Port Mellon, BC, V0N 2S0 Canada (map)

walking with the squamish

An adult program immersed in an intergenerational week of summer camp dedicated to building a profound connection with the Skwxù7mesh territory, the ocean, plants, animals, songs, language, and peoples. Led by both Indigenous and non-Indigenous facilitators, this week at camp is about taking action to foster reconciliation through building relationships.

Camp Suzuki, Walking with the Squamish is a profound and exciting program that is run in conjunction with our Kids & Teen Camps at Camp Chá7elkwnech. It is led by staff from the Squamish Nation, the David Suzuki Foundation and Camp Fircom. If you are eternally curious, a teacher, an activist, or care deeply about the natural world, join us and find your community.

The majority of Camp Suzuki programming is run independent of the child and youth-oriented camp Chá7elkwnech, but there will be some moments where the whole camp community comes together in celebration. Immerse yourself in Squamish/Skwxwù7mesh culture, wisdom and practices, and get inspired for how you can apply these teachings to your own life.
