Camp Suzuki Leadership Camp

Overview

Connect with nature at Camp Suzuki: Leadership Camp. A proven starting ground for environmental leaders, this leadership development program helps prepare champions for the Howe Sound and beyond. Located at Camp Fircom on Gambier Island, our adult leadership program combines conservation leadership and outdoor education and reconciliation.

Part 1: Camp

From August 13 to 17, 2018, participants will be immersed in the unforgettable fun of outdoor summer camp. You’ll spend your mornings learning about the region’s amazing ecosystems, from Western-based science and Squamish First Nation knowledge perspectives. In the evenings, you’ll learn the hard skills needed to be a successful conservation leader and community organizer.

Participants will leave camp empowered, connected and equipped to champion a healthy Howe Sound.
