Kids Summer Camp

All sessions of Junior and Intermediate Camps are now SOLD OUT! Please contact to add your name to the wait list.

Junior & Intermediate experiences are a fantastic way to engage with the best that Fircom has to offer! These are our classic "Kids Camp" programs, broken into two groups for age specific programming.

Junior & Intermediate (J/I) campers participate in a variety of activities that are fun, engaging, and instructive. Monday through Friday, campers spend the morning attending their preselected Personal Choice Activities (PCAs). Campers can choose from any of the age appropriate PCAs and try to earn Fircom levels or focus on experiential participation.

Intermediate Campers also get a chance to challenge themselves on an overnight trip tailored to their level of experience, exploring Halkett Bay & Gambier Island! Intermediates will be out for two days (one night) gaining an introduction to overnight camping, learning and developing a number of outdoor skills. Our J/I’s participate in Theme Days, friendly camp-wide games and all-camp campfires to close-out the camp session.

Announcement!     Camp Fircom has partnered with the David Suzuki Foundation to create a new stream of programming in session three of our Junior and Intermediate camps. Kids participating in these session will do all the Fircom activities they love and get to try DSF staff led programs that highlight the natural ecosystems within the Howe Sound for an environmental perspective. The Camp Suzuki Leadership program (age 19+) will be on site over the week and all the programs (Juniors, Intermediates, Polaris 2, and Camp Suzuki) will jointly participate in activities related to reconciliation efforts with indigenous Coast Salish peoples.  It's going to be an incredible week! Don't delay in signing up today!!

Camp Philosophy

Everything at camp is “challenge by choice”. No kid is forced to anything they don’t want to do, but they will be encouraged and supported through whatever is challenging them to try it. For first time campers, this ensures camp is safe and fun. The variety of options means there will be something for everyone to enjoy and even experiment with

In order to make the transportation process easy on everyone, Fircom is providing bus transportation to and from Horseshoe Bay from East and West Vancouver!

Horseshoe Bay is a very popular spot during the summer months and Mondays and Fridays (the first and last day of camp) are especially busy with very limited parking. We’re encouraging all parents to use our Camp Fircom Bus to let us take care of getting campers to and from camp. And besides, the camp experience starts on the bus - our staff will be playing bus games and singing songs!
