Although humans play an important role in our own food system, it takes plants and animals to complete the cycle. That’s why Fircom’s farm is expanding from seed growing to chicken raising!

Chicken manure is a valuable fertilizing resource. It contains nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium – essential nutrients for plant development.

We call our chickens "Mobile Fertilizers". Set ‘em up where you need the nutrients, then watch them happily till the soil and eat up unwanted grubs. (We thank nature for the rest.)

And there's a bonus: Our happy chickens provide us an average of one egg per day!

Want to learn more about the role of chickens and other animals on the farm? Attend our Farm to Fork retreat, June 14-16! Register now and take advantage of early bird rates until tomorrow, May 15.
