Fircom Fall Challenge

Date: Sept 29, 2018
Place: St. Mark's Summit Trail
Level of Difficulty: Intermediate
Time to Hike: 5-6 hours

Join Camp Fircom in raising funds to send kids to camp while hiking above the Howe Sound!
We'll meet in the Cypress Mountain parking lot in the morning and enjoy a challenging, awe-inspiring hike together.
Hikers will bring a packed lunch and we'll dine together looking down on Gambier Island from the Summit.

The Fircom Challenge is entering it's 9th year. Previous events have been paddle trips, hikes on Gambier, camp skills contest, etc.
Last year, the challenge raised $13,000 - a new record - and this year we're aiming for $15,000.
All funds raised replenish the campership fund and help Fircom programs remain accessible to all who want to attend.

In 2018, Camp Fircom helped 38 kids, 6 youth, and 16 families attend camp!
As camp continues to grow so does the need!
Come hangout with all your camp friends while also making the magic of camp happen for those in need.

Camp Fancy

Camp Fancy 2018 was a real success!

On Saturday April 14th, invited everyone from the Fircom community to gather with us, give thanks for last-year's successful camping season, and get excited about the new season in front of us! Camp Fircom served over 570 campers in 2017 - that's up by 25% from 2016. We were once again gearing up to raise more campership donations to ensure camp continues to be accessible to all families regardless of their income.

We also took the opportunity to wish Neil Carrodus, the outgoing Site Manager and long-time Fircom community member, a fond farewell as he and his family moved on to new adventures. Neil's last day of work was March 15th, and he, Breagh, and Mira graciously agreed to come back for Camp Fancy so we could say a proper thank you for all his time and dedication.

We're looking forward to another Spring Gala event in 2019. See you there!
